The KelolaAja cashier app on a desktop monitor. Orders come from the menu grid, and every sale is saved on the device first, then synced once the network is back.

Point of Sale App

How a sale moves through the app

  • Taken at the counter. A customer reaches the front of the line, and the cashier taps in each item they ask for.

  • Kept through the outage. When the internet drops mid-queue, the customer pays in cash and the cashier moves on to the next person.

  • Handed over, then recorded. The customer leaves with a printed receipt, and the owner finds the sale in the records once the connection returns.

A busy counter, a shaky connection

When the connection drops at a busy counter, the cashier still has a queue in front of them and a customer holding out cash. I worked with the team on this app, mainly on how a sale is paid for and how it reaches the server once the connection is back.

A sale is saved on the device before the cashier sees it confirmed, and a void or refund waits for a supervisor's PIN. The same rules apply to everyone who signs in, and what each person can open depends on their job.
